Profit is net sale proceeds minus acquisition cost and fees. The Crypto Profit Calculator models a transaction; it neither forecasts prices nor calculates tax liability.
Include both sides
Buy one unit at 1,000 with a 1% fee paid in cash: cost is 1,010. Sell at 1,100 with a 1% fee deducted from proceeds: receive 1,089. Profit is 79, not the 100 price increase. Return on the 1,010 cost is approximately 7.82%.
For break-even price P, P × 0.99 = 1,010. Therefore P is approximately 1,020.20. Simply adding two percentage points gives only an approximation.
Check fee units
Fees may be paid in cash, the purchased asset or another token. These change the quantity or cost basis. Spread, slippage, network charges and conversion costs may be separate.
Save quantities and fee assumptions with the result. Multiple lots or fees in another asset require more detailed accounting; this single-transaction example does not reproduce a complete trading history.
